Manai FAQ
Manai FAQ: make a practice that feels personal
Manai creates personal guided practices through conversation. Explain how you feel, what you want to practice, and the details that matter to you; then shape the guidance and audio into something you can return to. These answers cover what you can create, how personalization works, and how to use the finished practice.
Getting started
What does Manai do?
Manai helps you create guided audio around your own life. A request can become a script, narration, intentional pauses, and optional sound. You can revise the experience and save it for replay. Start with the personalized meditation guide.
What does “change state” mean?
It means practicing a direction you choose, such as moving from scattered toward present or from defensive toward more open. The aim is a personally useful experience, not a guaranteed emotional switch. Read the state-change approach.
What kinds of sessions can I create?
Formats include meditation, visualization, affirmations, gentle breathwork, yoga and mindful movement, self-hypnosis, EFT tapping, and guided bedtime practices. Describe a suitable technique and your preferences; availability does not mean the app can safely perform every technique or replace qualified instruction. Choose a format for your next step.
Do I need to know how to write a meditation?
No. Begin with your situation, intention, available time, and a few preferences. For example: “I have five minutes before a meeting and want to stop rushing my words.” See how the conversation becomes audio.
Personalization and production
What can I personalize?
Your intention, personal examples, imagery, language, narrator, pacing, silent gaps, and sound choices can shape the practice. A recognizable title and cover art can help you find it again. Feature availability and plan limits still apply.
Can I ask for my own phrases or beliefs?
Yes. Explain what resonates and what does not. You can use spiritual or secular framing and ask for original wording around a value, memory, or philosophy.
Can Manai narrate in my own voice?
Eligible active paid accounts can create one personal voice when capacity is available. This differs from recording a complete session yourself. Free accounts and trials are not eligible to create a clone. Read the personal-voice guide or learn to record a complete practice.
Can I request more silence?
Yes. Specify where the gap belongs and how long you want it to be. State whether background sound should continue or whether you want complete quiet. See a passage with timed pauses.
Can I change background music or use no music?
Yes. Request a suitable atmosphere, choose available options, and review the balance with narration. You can also ask for voice alone. A particular commercial song is not automatically available. Read the music guide.
Can I include sound effects?
You can request supported sound cues as part of the production. Explain their purpose and placement, such as marking a transition, and review the result. Effects are optional rather than a requirement for every recording. Compare sound cues and background music.
Can I change the cover art?
Yes. Manai supports changing the cover for a practice. Choose an image that helps you recognize it; cover changes are separate from revisions to the spoken guidance. Read the cover-art guide.
Can I edit the script after creating a practice?
You can request a specific wording change and produce narration for the revised script. An existing recording does not change just because its text changed. See how script revisions work.
How do I choose a narration voice?
Choose from the voices available to your account, then listen to the result in the context of your practice. Voice identity, script wording, and delivery are separate choices. Read the narration guide.
Does Manai remember every conversation detail?
Conversation context, saved profile information, and feedback serve different purposes. Do not assume every passing comment becomes a permanent preference. See memory and feedback.
How quickly does audio become ready?
Generation involves separate script, audio, and artwork stages. Creating new audio and playing an existing recording are different operations. This FAQ does not promise an exact generation time or a fastest-app ranking. Understand the readiness stages.
Goals, replay, and sharing
How do goals affect a practice?
Goals give the guidance context and continuity. A specific obstacle can shape the script, and feedback can inform what you request next. Goals do not promise a fixed daily quota of new recordings. Explore goal-based practice.
Do I have to create a new session every time?
No. Once a practice is produced and saved, replay it when available in your Library, within your plan’s listening limits. For offline listening on iPhone, complete a download first. Read the saving and replay guide.
Can I share a practice?
You can choose to share supported saved content. A personal sharing link can be forwarded, and recipients need to sign in to access it. Stopping sharing revokes access through that sharing route. Review personal details before making content available to someone else. Read the sharing guide.
Is every practice public?
Creating personal content is different from choosing to share it. Check sharing settings and read the privacy guide and privacy policy for how information is handled.
Techniques, books, and suitability
Can I make personalized yoga?
Yes, including audio guidance around appropriate familiar movements and your available space. Manai does not observe your form or diagnose an injury. See personalized yoga.
Can I make self-hypnosis or EFT tapping?
Yes. You can shape self-hypnosis guidance and EFT tapping audio, including wording and pauses. These are wellness content options, not a clinical treatment relationship.
Can I use ideas from books or teachers?
Yes. Explain an idea in your own words and request an original personal application. We have independent companions for The Power of Now, The Untethered Soul, Maxwell Maltz, Neville Goddard, The Secret, and Joe Dispenza. Browse all book companions or learn to turn one idea into a practice.
Can I make gentle breathwork without holds?
Yes. Ask for comfortable breathing guidance without holds, forcing, or rapid breathing. You can request simple words instead of counts. Explore personalized breathwork.
Can I choose yoga nidra or a guided sleep meditation?
Yes. Describe whether you want a rest practice with a return-to-day ending or bedtime guidance that lets you settle. Explore yoga nidra and guided sleep meditation.
Can I visualize without detailed mental pictures?
Yes. Ask for words, a sequence of actions, or a personally meaningful quality. The narrator can guide a rehearsal without repeatedly asking you to see a vivid image. Try a less visual approach.
Is personalized practice proven to be more effective than every alternative?
No. Personalization can improve how closely content fits a request, but feature fit is different from comparative clinical evidence. Our app comparisons explain why we recommend Manai for particular tasks and identify other products’ strengths.
Can a manifestation practice guarantee results?
No. You can practice an intention, imagine a possibility, and choose an action. A recording cannot guarantee an outside event or another person’s response.
Where can I check plans and get Manai?
