Personalized practices

Create affirmation audio you can actually believe

Manai lets you create personalized affirmation audio around words that make sense in your life. Describe the situation, choose a response you want to practice, and shape the phrases, narrator, repetition, and silence. The aim is a recording you can participate in, using language you are willing to say.

Write for the moment when you need the words

An affirmation earns its place when it gives you a usable sentence. “I always handle everything perfectly” offers little help when a request arrives and you need time to decide. “I can check my capacity before I answer” gives that moment a direction.

Our editorial stance is that the strongest personal affirmation is often modest and specific. It can express an intention without pretending the intention is already a permanent fact about you.

Build a small set around one real choice

Choose an ordinary situation: answering another request, starting an unfinished task, or speaking up with a question. Tell Manai how you normally describe it. Include words that feel natural and words you would rather avoid.

For a practice about overcommitting, an original set might be:

  • “I can pause before I answer.”
  • “A clear answer can be kind.”
  • “I can offer what I have room to give.”

Each phrase does a different job: it permits a pause, names a value, and connects that value to a choice. That gives you something more concrete to rehearse than a long list of impressive adjectives.

Original illustrative request:

Create six minutes of affirmation audio for pausing before I agree to extra commitments. Use three short, believable phrases in ordinary language. Say each phrase once, then leave enough silence for me to repeat it at my own pace. Repeat the set with a little quiet between rounds. End by inviting me to check my calendar before my next answer. No claims that I will never feel guilty.

Give the listener time to answer

An affirmation track can become a speech if the next phrase arrives before you have finished the last. Ask for actual silence, not just a slower narrator. You can request a pause after every sentence or a longer gap after each small group.

Review the script before producing the version you want to keep. Replace any line you find yourself arguing with. “I am completely confident” might become “I can ask one clear question even when I feel uncertain.”

Choose a narrator you enjoy hearing. Eligible paid accounts may also use a personal voice, subject to availability and account limits. Save the completed recording so the useful part becomes repetition, rather than making a new track every day.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the affirmations?

Yes. Ask Manai to revise individual phrases or the whole set. After a script revision, produce and review audio that reflects the new wording; changing text does not rewrite an older recording.

Can I use my own voice?

A personal voice is available to eligible active paid accounts when capacity is available. The own-voice guide explains the current limits.

Do I have to make every phrase completely positive?

No. You can request grounded language that acknowledges difficulty and points toward a choice. See affirmations and inner talk for the distinction between supportive cues and sweeping positive claims.

How many affirmations should I include?

Start with a few that serve one intention. There is no universal ideal number. Leave enough time to hear, repeat, and consider each one without rushing.
