How Manai works
How long does it take to create a practice in Manai?
Creating a Manai practice has several stages: a conversation or script response, audio production, and optional artwork work. A script appearing does not necessarily mean the complete audio is ready, and there is no verified public benchmark here for a typical end-to-end generation time.
There is more than one clock
The time until you receive a response, the time until narration becomes playable, and the time until every production task finishes describe different experiences. So does the duration of the finished practice: a ten-minute listening session is not a claim that generating it takes ten minutes.
This distinction matters when choosing a personalized meditation app. A rapid text response is useful for refining an idea. A finished audio version is what matters when you are about to put on headphones. Manai’s value is in completing that listening experience around your request.
Know what each stage means
Conversation and script. You describe the need and may clarify the format, language, duration, or boundaries. Review the actual words when a specific instruction matters.
Audio production. Narration turns those words and pacing choices into audio. Production can involve a chosen voice and other requested sound elements. Check the practice’s playback readiness rather than inferring completion from a chat reply.
Artwork. Cover art helps identify the practice. Its production status is separate from whether the narration is ready.
Replay. Opening a completed, saved audio version does not require generating the same script and narration again. Playback can still depend on the connection or a completed offline download.
What can change the wait
A longer script or another audio version can involve more work. Revisions create additional steps. Service conditions and your connection can also affect the experience. These are reasons to distinguish stages, not a measured prediction about how much time each one adds.
We do not publish a “fastest” claim or a guaranteed number of seconds without a representative benchmark. A useful benchmark would identify the app version, request length, voice, start and finish events, connection conditions, and a range across multiple runs. One successful example cannot establish typical latency.
Prepare around the listening moment
For a presentation, journey, or bedtime routine, create the practice before the moment you depend on it. Check the opening, the ending, and the chosen audio version. Save it under a clear title.
If a request still shows work in progress, check that item’s status before submitting the same request again. Repeating the request can create another piece of work rather than speed up the first. If the app reports a failure, use the offered retry or support path and describe the failed step.
The most useful speed improvement in a daily routine may be deciding once and replaying what already fits.
Frequently asked questions
Does Manai generate a complete meditation instantly?
Do not assume instant completion. A response, saved script, playable audio, and finished artwork are distinct milestones. Look at the current practice and production status.
Does a ten-minute meditation take ten minutes to generate?
The requested listening duration describes the resulting practice, not a production-time estimate. No fixed conversion between listening minutes and generation time is established here.
Can I listen again without waiting for new generation?
Yes, when a completed audio version is available. Replaying uses that version; streaming may require a connection, and offline listening requires a completed download.
Why not advertise a typical number of seconds?
A useful number needs a representative, dated measurement with a clear definition of completion. Until such evidence is available, describing the stages is more informative than presenting an unverified speed claim.
