How Manai works
How to edit a personalized meditation script
You can edit a Manai meditation after the first draft, including a specific passage, the tone, or the space between instructions. Save and review the revision, then generate fresh audio when you want to hear the changed wording. Editing the script and producing the recording are separate steps. This makes it possible to improve a practice you already value instead of starting over.
Keep the useful practice; fix the sentence
A meditation can be close to what you need and still contain one line that makes you pull away. Perhaps “You are completely fearless” sounds untrue, while the rest of the session helps you prepare.
Our view is that a useful practice should be revisable at the point where it stops sounding like you. Replacing that sentence with “You can take the next step while feeling uncertain” changes the invitation. You are now rehearsing a response you might actually use.
That is a reason to choose personalized guided audio: the wording can follow your meaning as it becomes clearer.
Give a bounded edit request
Original illustrative request:
In my morning practice, replace the paragraph about feeling fearless with this idea: I can begin before I feel completely ready. Keep the kitchen-window image and the final reminder to put on my shoes. Leave a quiet pause after the new paragraph. Show me the revised script before making new audio.
This names the passage, supplies its replacement purpose, and identifies what is already working. You can also ask to shorten an introduction, remove an image, or soften language that feels too forceful.
Read the whole revised section, including the transition into the next paragraph. A better sentence can still arrive too abruptly. If you request more reflection time, review the pause as well as the spoken words.
Make the recording match
Once the revised text is saved, create a new audio version from that script. The existing recording was produced from an earlier version; it does not change just because the text changed. Manai’s Audio Studio identifies when text has changed and fresh narration is needed.
Wait until the new recording is ready, then listen through the edited passage. Check the words, the silence, and the sentence immediately afterward. Keep your attention on the original problem: does this now invite the response you meant to practice?
You can return to the finished recording without rewriting it at every listen. Revision is useful when your needs change, not an obligation to keep polishing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change only one section?
Yes. Identify the section or passage and describe the change. Ask to preserve the parts that already fit, then review the resulting script rather than assuming every surrounding sentence stayed identical.
Does existing audio update immediately?
No. Saved text and generated audio are separate. Create fresh narration to hear the revised script, and wait for the new version to finish.
Can I change pauses without rewriting the meaning?
You can ask for a pacing change around a specific instruction. Say whether the gap should contain background sound or complete quiet; a pause in speaking does not necessarily mean every sound stops.
Can I switch the narrator at the same time?
Yes, select an available voice when generating the new audio. Changing wording and changing voice are separate choices, so review both if you revise them together.
