How Manai works
Create a meditation narrated in your own voice
Manai lets eligible active paid accounts create one personal voice for narration when provider capacity is available. After setup, you can select that voice for guided content instead of recording every line yourself. Your words still matter: a familiar voice is most useful when the guidance also reflects what you believe and want to practice.
Familiarity begins with the words
Imagine hearing “I can return to the next sentence” in your own voice before a presentation. Compare that with hearing a grand promise you would never say aloud. The second recording might sound like you acoustically while feeling unlike you emotionally.
Our view is that a personal voice should be an extension of personal meaning. First make the script believable. Then choose the delivery you want to return to.
Illustrative request after personal-voice setup:
Create a four-minute practice using my available personal voice. I want to speak more slowly in tomorrow’s meeting. Use the phrase “I can finish one thought at a time.” Leave a pause so I can repeat it, and finish with a simple reminder to look up before I begin.
A personal voice and a full recording are different
Creating a personal voice uses a voice sample to make a narration option. It does not mean you must perform the entire script. Manai can use that option when producing new guided audio.
Recording a complete meditation yourself is a different workflow: you supply the performance of every line. Choose based on whether you want to read the full session or hear generated narration of new wording. Neither choice establishes that the practice will be more effective than another voice.
Availability and replacement
The current personal-voice offering allows one active clone per eligible paid account, subject to availability and provider capacity. Free accounts and trials are not eligible to create a clone. If the active slot is occupied, delete the existing personal voice through the supported flow before creating a replacement.
Existing generated audio does not need to be regenerated every time you listen. A saved practice remains useful as a recording even when you are not creating new narration. See pricing for plan information and the in-app controls for current availability.
Frequently asked questions
Who can create a personal voice?
Eligible accounts with an active paid plan can create one when the feature and provider capacity are available. An account in a free trial does not qualify just because a paid plan is selected for later.
Can I keep several personal voice clones?
The current limit is one active personal voice per eligible account. Replacement requires removing the existing voice first; do not assume creating a new sample will keep both.
Does my voice have to be used for every practice?
No. A personal voice is a narration choice. You can use an available Manai narrator when another delivery feels more appropriate.
Can I recreate an author’s or a teacher’s voice?
Use your own voice through the personal-voice setup. An original practice about a book’s ideas does not require impersonating its author; choose your own voice or an available narrator.
