How Manai works

Why begin with your life, not a library?

A fixed library asks you to find the closest match. Manai begins with your goal, your present concern, and the context you choose to share.

The practice loop

  1. Chat. Share a goal, pattern, memory, or current moment.
  2. Choose what matters. Save the context and preferences you want Manai to remember.
  3. Create. Ask for a practice now or let Manai prepare one proactively around your goals.
  4. Listen and respond. Say what helped, what missed, and what should change next time.

The goal is not endless content. It is a practice that becomes more relevant as your life changes and as you become clearer about what works for you.

What personalization can change

The words

A practice for “confidence” can mean very different things. One person may need to speak clearly in a meeting. Another may need to set a boundary. The language becomes more useful when the situation is specific.

The structure

You may prefer more silence, a shorter opening, a different voice, or less imagery. Feedback can shape the pacing and production as well as the topic.

The timing

A morning rehearsal, an afternoon reset, and a sleep practice can support different moments even when they relate to the same goal.

What the research can support

User studies suggest that relevance, customization, and fresh content matter to app engagement. They do not establish that AI personalization is clinically effective, and Manai itself has not been tested in the studies below.

What two app studies found

In a 2023 interview study, 23 Gen Z and young millennial users of a spiritual self-care app valued modern, short content and requested more personalization and interaction. The sample was small, mostly women, and already using a wellness app, so it should not be generalized to everyone.

A separate study followed 17 young adults using anxiety apps for two weeks. Participants described generic, repetitive, irrelevant, or time-consuming experiences as barriers. They asked for more customization and more control over the length and delivery of exercises.

Your direction stays yours

Memory and personalization should support your reflection, not turn Manai into a guru. You decide what to share, what to practice, what to keep, and what action to take in the real world.

A note on wellbeing

Manai offers educational wellness practices. It is not medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. If a practice feels uncomfortable, stop. Seek qualified support for health concerns or urgent distress.
