How Manai works

Meditation with Claude: turn a Claude chat into a guided meditation you can listen to

As of October 26, 2026, Headspace has no official Claude connector or integration; we found none in Claude's connector directory or in Headspace's announcements, and Headspace does not name the AI models behind its Ebb companion. You can still meditate with Claude in three ways: ask Claude to write a meditation and read it yourself, have Claude guide you step by step in the chat, or connect a meditation app that works inside Claude. Manai offers a Claude plugin: you describe what you want in Claude, Claude writes the practice using Manai's authoring guide, and Manai turns it into narrated audio with pauses and cover art, saved privately to your Manai account.

Does Headspace work with Claude?

People search “Headspace Claude” hoping to use Headspace’s library from inside a Claude conversation. On October 26, 2026, that was not possible through any official route:

  • No Headspace connector in Claude. We checked Claude’s connector directory and found no Headspace listing.
  • No announced partnership. We found no Headspace or Anthropic announcement of an integration.
  • Ebb’s models are not named. Headspace says its AI companion, Ebb, is built on “foundational” language models but does not say which ones (Headspace AI).

This may change, so check Claude’s connector directory if you are reading later. In the meantime, here is what you can do with Claude today.

Three ways to meditate with Claude

ApproachWhat you getLimits
1. Ask Claude for a scriptA written meditation tailored to your requestYou have to read it, or record it yourself, which breaks the stillness
2. Let Claude guide you in the chatStep-by-step instructions, one message at a timeYou keep looking at a screen; pauses depend on you
3. Connect a meditation app to ClaudeA narrated recording with built-in pauses, saved to replayNeeds a compatible app and account

1. Ask Claude for a script

Claude is good at writing a meditation for a specific situation. Be precise about length, technique, and tone:

Write a seven-minute body-scan meditation for the end of a long day at a desk. Plain language, no spiritual terms. Mark pauses in brackets with their length in seconds. Start at the feet and end with three slow breaths.

You can read it slowly with a timer, or record yourself reading it on your phone and play it back. The script is often good; the problem is that reading and meditating at the same time are hard to combine, and plain text-to-speech tends to rush through pauses. Our comparison of AI meditation creation versus a text-to-speech workflow explains the difference.

2. Let Claude guide you one step at a time

Ask Claude to guide you in short turns: “Give me one instruction at a time for a five-minute breathing exercise, and wait for me to type ‘next.’” This works for short exercises when you cannot listen to audio, but you are still looking at a screen and typing, which pulls attention away from the practice.

3. Connect a meditation app to Claude

Claude can connect to outside services through connectors and plugins built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for linking AI assistants to tools (Model Context Protocol). When a meditation app offers one, Claude can hand your request to the app, which produces the audio. That gives you the best of both: Claude’s conversation for figuring out what you need, and a real recording to listen to with your eyes closed.

How Manai works inside Claude

Manai has a Claude plugin that works in Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, and Claude Code. Once it is connected:

  1. You describe what you want in an ordinary Claude conversation: the situation, the length, the technique, and the feel.
  2. Claude checks your Manai usage and reads Manai’s live authoring guide before writing, so the script follows Manai’s structure for pauses and pacing.
  3. Claude writes the practice and a matching cover-art direction.
  4. Manai produces the narration and artwork and saves the finished practice privately to your Manai account.
  5. You listen from the link Manai returns or in your Manai Library, and you can replay it any time.

Our Claude setup guide walks through installation step by step, which takes about three minutes: download the Manai plugin, upload it in Claude under Customize and Plugins, install the included Manai connector, and sign in to your Manai account. You need a Claude account with plugin uploads available and a free or paid Manai account. Creation uses your Manai plan’s allowance. In Claude Code you can also add Manai with one command, shown on the setup page.

Original illustrative request, not a tested example:

Use Manai to create a ten-minute guided meditation for the evening before a job interview. I want to feel prepared, not hyped. Start with a slow body scan, then a short mental rehearsal of walking into the room and saying my first sentence, then end with breathing that helps me sleep. Calm narrator, long pauses, no music.

If you use ChatGPT instead, Manai works there too; see Add Manai to ChatGPT. Our page on ChatGPT meditation scripts versus Manai compares a chatbot script with a finished, replayable recording.

Tips for a better meditation from Claude

  • Name the moment. “Before a job interview” produces better guidance than “for anxiety.”
  • Ask for pauses explicitly and say how long. Silence is where meditation happens.
  • Choose one technique. Body scan, breath counting, visualization, or loving-kindness. Mixing three in seven minutes rarely works.
  • Say what to avoid. “No spiritual language,” “don’t tell me to relax,” or “no counting.”
  • Review before you listen. Read the script once and change anything that does not fit you.

Should you use Claude or a meditation app?

If you want a big library of professionally recorded sessions, an app like Headspace or Calm on its own is simpler. If you like talking through what you need first, Claude is a good thinking partner, and connecting Manai turns that conversation into a recording you can keep. Many people use both: a library app for routine practice and Claude with Manai for specific moments. You can also use Manai directly in its iPhone app without Claude.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Headspace integration for Claude?

Not officially, as of October 26, 2026. We found no Headspace connector in Claude’s directory and no announced partnership. Headspace’s own AI companion, Ebb, works inside the Headspace app.

Can Claude guide a meditation?

Yes. Claude can write a meditation script for your situation or guide you one step at a time in the chat. To listen with your eyes closed, you need audio: record the script yourself, or connect a meditation app such as Manai that turns Claude’s script into narrated audio.

How do I connect Manai to Claude?

Download the Manai plugin from the setup page, upload it in Claude under Customize and Plugins, install the included Manai connector, and sign in to your Manai account. Then ask Claude to “use Manai to check my current usage” to confirm it works.

Is Manai free to use with Claude?

You need a Manai account, which can be free. Practices created through Claude count toward your Manai plan’s creation allowance, the same as practices created in the app. See Manai’s pricing page for current limits.

Where do I listen to a meditation made in Claude with Manai?

Manai saves the finished practice privately to your account. You can open it from the link Manai returns in the conversation or find it in your Manai Library and replay it whenever you like.
