Add Manai through ChatGPT Plugins

ChatGPT's documented setup creates a personal plugin from Manai's MCP connection. There is no ZIP file to download or upload.

  1. Turn on Developer mode

    In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login, then enable Developer mode. Your workspace administrator may need to allow it.

  2. Open ChatGPT Plugins

    Open ChatGPT Plugins, choose the plus button or Add, and create a new connection named Manai.

  3. Add the Manai connection

    Paste https://mcp.manaiapp.com/mcp as the MCP server address, review the tools ChatGPT discovers, and finish adding the plugin.

  4. Connect and start creating

    Start a new Chat or Work conversation, select Manai or type @Manai, and complete Manai sign-in and permission review when the browser opens.

Do not see Developer mode or Plugins? Availability can depend on your ChatGPT account and workspace controls. Ask your workspace administrator to enable these features, or use another MCP-capable client.

Check that it worked

  • Ask ChatGPT to check your Manai usage before creating.
  • Describe the outcome, listening moment, and approximate duration you want.
  • ChatGPT authors the script and a matching cover-art direction; Manai produces the audio and saves it privately.

For a no-cost connection check, ask the assistant: “Use Manai to check my current usage.” It should call get_usage_status and return account data—not just say the connection is ready.

Create your first finished practice

First creation prompt 
Use Manai to check my current usage. Then create a finished 10-minute guided practice for what I need today. Ask me only the essential questions, author a concrete cover-art prompt that matches the practice, produce the narration and artwork, and return my private Manai link.

What “finished” means: the assistant writes the guided experience and a concrete visual brief. Manai validates it, generates narrated audio and square cover art, saves it privately, and returns an owner link you can open while production completes.

If the connection does not appear

  1. Make sure the full address ends in /mcp.
  2. Remove the connection, add it again, and complete the browser sign-in.
  3. Start a new conversation after connecting; some clients do not refresh tools in an existing chat.
  4. If a client returns only status sentences without tool data, report the client name and failing Manai tool to support.
